Reaction Paper 3

Art Gallery
On November 18, 2009 I went to the schools art gallery. It was the opening of the facaulty art show. Some of the art proffesors from SCCC has some piece of art in the show. A lot of the work was extremely interesting. And some work are actually for sale. One of my favorite pieces was done by Professor Jim DiSario. The name of his piece is "Earth, Wind and Water", It is nine photographs. Three are butterflys, three flowers and three fish. Professor DiSario said it started with a flower, and it reminded him of a butterfly and a fish so thats how he got his three subjects for the piece. Another of my favorites is "Trailer Haven" by Professor Victoria Sinacori. It is a photo of a Trailer park. It is amazing how the details are in this photo and it looks like a quiet night with street lights and trailers. You would have to see the photograph to understand the image. I appreciate the fact that proffesors took the time to display there work. They are extremely talented.

Reaction Paper 2

Sandra Carrion is a professional fine art photographer. I think she is very talented and creative. I appreciate the fact that she took the time to come to our class and showed us how a show case is done. Basically it depends on who the judges are and sort of what they look for as an individual. It is good to know that just because you might not win in one contest it doesn't mean that your photo is not up to par. I like that Sandra experiments with different cameras, in photography it is important you get out of your comfort zone and "test the waters". Sandra has a list. This list is basically a career survival list. What I like about her list is that it basically tells you to go for what you want, take risk and love what you do. Also this list does not only apply to photography it can pretty much be followed for anything you really want in life career or personal.

Halloween

Having a little fun with the camera. You got to love the timer.
